Abstract. The article is devoted to an information and analytical system for accounting and assessing the condition of springs based on an electronic database with the possibility of integration into crowdsourcing environmental platforms. As part of the development of the Kursk region’s spring database, a comparison was made with similar systems existing in other regions of Russia. The key evaluation criteria were the completeness and structure of information about springs. One of the main reasons for developing an information and analytical system in the Kursk region is to preserve groundwater sources, including springs, from depletion and pollution, which is a priority task in the field of state policy for the protection of habitat components. The author has developed a concept for an information and analytical system for comprehensive monitoring of springs, based on the creation of a specialized electronic database with the integration of crowdsourcing technologies and the ability to analyze the ecological state of water bodies.
