Abstract. The homeopathic method of treatment periodically comes under attack for its «unscientific nature». But numerous studies, as well as clinical experience of physicians using homeopathy with a high degree of confidence confirm the effectiveness of treatment using homeopathic medicines.
In Europe, Latin American countries and India homeopathy, which mobilizes the self-healing processes, is referred to the traditional (bioregulatory) medicine. According to the WHO Strategy this branch of medicine all over the world belongs either to the basic resources for rendering health care or is a complement to this aid [14]. Homeopathy is a practical medical approach that enables the body to rehabilitate oneself easily and quickly after any damaging effects or events. The homeopathic method is a regulating therapy that uses own resources of the body for rehabilitation and does not have damaging effects on the body.
The current level of the scientific technology development does not yet allow us to determine what is the active agent in homeopathy and what is the mechanism of its action. To date, there have been accumulated a lot of experimental evidences indicating the relationship between the homeopathic effects and effect of very-low doses of the various biologically active substances. And certainly, it will time, when science will be able to give valid answers to such important for us, but far-from-simple questions: what is the active agent in homeopathy and what is the mechanism of its impact. The absence of the proven mechanisms of homeopathy action today is not evidence of the absence of the homeopathic action itself.
