Abstract. The problem of the relationship between the environmental and economic security of an organization is relevant today, and environmental degradation affects all spheres of human life. The author considers environmental factors in the context of business economic security, pays special attention to environmental risks and threats, the impact of ecology on business stability, and also provides some examples of their negative impact on business. Particular attention is paid to the importance of environmental factors in making decisions about business risks. The author focuses on the fact that environmental factors include not only a direct impact on the environment, but also a change in consumer behavior, and also form legal risks for business. An assessment of risks and environmental threats, identification of environmental factors affecting business, as well as the application of an environmental strategy in risk management are given. The importance of the environmental responsibility of business for investors was determined, while the ESG approach was used in assessing the investment attractiveness of companies. The importance of environmental responsibility in assessing ESG factors is considered, as well as special attention is paid to investing in environmentally responsible companies and improving the economic security of a business. The article points out the relevance of introducing environmentally friendly technologies as a factor in the economic security of a business. Their positive impact on business is revealed and examples of successful use in commercial organizations are given. The author defines in this article favorable conditions for the development of environmentally friendly technologies. The article proposes specific measures to improve the economic security of business in the context of environmental factors: legislative measures and environmental responsibility standards for companies, integration of environmental factors into business strategies, development, and use of environmentally friendly technologies.
