The FDM 3D printing process is widely used in many industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, consumer goods manufacturing, architecture, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The printing time of products on FDM printers can reach several tens of hours, so it is necessary to be able to constantly monitor and control the printer remotely. It is possible to implement this with the use of WEB cameras and appropriate software.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The developed printer design will allow you to install a video camera directly in the product formation area, significantly reduce the noise level of the power supply unit (PSU) fan, reduce the area occupied by the PSU in the printer housing, and install a higher\u2013performance fan with active speed control.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When developing an optical monitoring system, it was necessary to determine the basic requirements for the rigidity of the printer design, after which an appropriate prototype of the printer design with an active ventilation system and an additional storage capacity for spare parts was developed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Changes to the printer design have reduced the amount of heat generation and reduced the level of vibrations and noise, which in turn ensures the stability of the equipment and prevents possible negative consequences for the environment and personnel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thanks to the installation of a WEB camera, the print quality has improved and stable communication with the printer has been ensured.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After the installation of the printer case was completed, a test run was carried out in order to identify shortcomings during operation.
