People moved to large cities. The task of optimal placement of these people became. Digitalization of urban economy has grown into the concept of a smart city. The purpose of this article is to thoroughly analyze the concept of a smart city and determine the economic benefits of its implementation. Based on the study of available literature from open sources, the concept of a smart city was analyzed. The components of the technology of this concept are considered. The main advantages and threats of implementing this concept are identified. It is shown how a smart city is being formed in Moscow. Next, the economic benefits of creating a smart city were carefully analyzed. Such benefits are: creation of jobs, increased productivity, economic efficiency, improved quality of life. Examples of obtaining an economic effect from the implementation of smart cities in various parts of the world are given. The importance of startups in the development of smart cities is noted. Methods of financing these startups are discussed. To create a smart city, it is necessary to plan its configuration, traffic flows, residential buildings, manufacturing enterprises. Digital technologies and geographic information systems and services help in such planning. The article also discusses the tools and mechanisms in financing and investing in smart city initiatives. Such mechanisms are: venture financing, public-private partnerships, crowdfunding, corporate investments. The concept of a smart city changes the ecology and economy of the city, increasing the efficiency of its activities. The problems arising during the development of smart cities are considered. In conclusion, it is noted that the economic and social benefits of smart cities are reflected in many aspects, such as increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of resource use, improving the quality of life in cities, gradual development of industry and innovative development, as well as sustainable development of the city and a happy life for local residents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Keywords:<\/strong> smart city; artificial intelligence; economic benefits; urban research; sustainable development; information service; digitalization<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shaytura Sergey Vladimirovich Moscow State University of Technology and Management named after K.G.
