It is shown that the market of packaging for consumer goods depends on the production of the products that require packaging and grows with it. In the future, further growth in the production of all types of packaging materials for domestic products is expected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is shown that until recently the system researches of the market and composition of solid municipal waste (SMW) in Russia were not carried out. Accordingly, there are practically no data on the state and forecasts of the development of the market of wastes from the packaging of consumer goods. The available sources of statistical information are asymmetric and represent micro-surveys carried out by operators and associations for individual regions at different times. Such a range of opinions may be explained by insufficient representativeness of samples, but at the same time, it allows tracking the dynamics of changes in certain segments of the market of SMW. In the future, it is expected to develop the Russian market of SMW on the basis of the best available technologies of environmental production and waste processing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An expert survey was conducted in six enterprises (four retail chains and two producers of non-food consumer goods) on the problems stated in the article.
