In practice, the power and authority of an expert in industrial and fire safety, responsible for issues of the civil defense and first-aid are often added to these duties. Under such wide scope of responsibilities it is necessary to pay attention to the conformance of specialist to the legal requirements. This article is devoted to the issue of training and education of specialists in ecology, labor protection, industrial, fire and electrical safety. The article considers aspects on application of educational standards, need for retraining of advanced training for specialists involved in the environmental, labor protection, industrial and fire safety management. The regulatory documents regulating the need of various types of training, number of hours and frequency of education are also considered. Data on administrative charges for absence of any type of training are given. A summary table with the average cost of these types of training is presented.
