In the context of the increasing complexity of architectural solutions for modern buildings and structures, tightening regulatory requirements for safety and the need to optimize economic costs at all stages of the life cycle of facilities, traditional approaches to the design of fire protection systems demonstrate their insufficient effectiveness. The authors of the study propose a comprehensive solution to this problem through the use of information modeling (BIM) technology, which is a revolutionary tool for creating and managing digital twins of buildings. Particular attention in the study is paid to the practical aspects of using CFD modeling to analyze the dynamics of the spread of hazardous fire factors and evacuation modeling software packages to optimize evacuation routes. The authors examine in detail the advantages of using digital twins to identify potential conflicts in design solutions, coordinate the work of interdisciplinary teams of specialists and ensure compliance of facilities with regulatory fire safety requirements. The work contains a critical analysis of existing barriers to the widespread implementation of BIM technologies in Russian fire safety practice, including the lack of uniform standards, insufficient qualifications of specialists and the high cost of software. At the same time, the authors identify promising areas of development, such as the integration of artificial intelligence to predict emergency situations and the use of virtual reality technologies to train personnel in fire safety. The results of the study are of significant practical importance for design organizations, construction companies, state fire supervision authorities and operating organizations seeking to improve the level of fire safety of facilities while optimizing time and financial costs. The proposed approaches contribute to the formation of a new paradigm in the field of fire protection based on preventive risk analysis and the use of intelligent decision support systems.

Keywords: fire safety; fire suppression; damage minimization; digital twin; fire protection systems; CFD modeling; evacuation modeling; fire hazards

Zhuravlev Igor Olegovich Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Moscow, Russia E-mail: firedefence@mail.ru Rubtsov Vladimir Valentinovich Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Moscow, Russia …

[44,5

post-2959","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-issue-2-2025","category-article
["GET
