Cigarette butts are extremely harmful to the environment. Cigarette filters are most often made from cellulose acetate (a type of plastic). It takes about 20 years for a cigarette filter to decompose. However, even after this time, plastic does not disappear, but turns into microplastics, which enters the human body through food chains. Issues related to the disposal of consumer waste are of great importance in ensuring the environmental safety not only of a particular region, but also of the entire planet as a whole. The problems of the formation of a large amount of consumer waste, the inadequate system of their separate collection force us to look for new approaches and methods to solve them. The relevance of the research topic and the degree of its scientific development provide the basis for the formulation of a scientific problem as the need to develop automatic exchangers of small debris for bird food and train birds of the Vranov family (Voronov) to collect small debris. The methods of theoretical analysis and the graphical method were used in the work. The authors analyzed statistical data on the state of pollution of the urban environment by cigarette butts and the environmental situation in general. The article presents the process of taking cigarette butts into automatic exchangers and then feeding the birds. The authors have developed an automatic exchanger of small debris for bird food, thanks to which it will be possible to train birds of the Vranov family (Ravens) to collect small debris. The latter circumstance will significantly reduce the pollution of urban areas by consumer waste and improve the environmental situation.

Keywords: environment; urban hygiene; environmental safety; pollution; consumer waste; cigarette butts; crows; exchanger

Prelikova Elena Anatolyevna Southwest State University, Kursk, Russia E-mail: elena_prelikova@bk.ru ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1398-4312 RSCI: https://elibrary.ru/author_profile.asp?id=686332 WoS: https://www.webofscience.com/wos/author/rid/AAH-5482-2021 SCOPUS: https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.url?authorId=57211287079 Fefelov Andrey Dmitrievich Southwest State University, Kursk, Russia E-mail: 8zzz9523097370@gmail.ru ORCID: https://orcid.org/0009-0002-7311-6795 Kuznetsov Pavel Viktorovich Southwest State University, Kursk, Russia E-mail: pavel1590K@yandex.ru …

[49,5

post-3339","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-issue-1-2026","category-article
["GET
