Declarative JSON schemas, established as the industry standard for describing forms, enable rapid development of standard interfaces. However, when faced with requirements for custom widgets, asynchronous validation, and integration with specialized server services, they demonstrate limited expressiveness. This paper presents a new approach, implemented in the MTSForms project, in which an NPM package encapsulating an arbitrary set of files becomes the basic functionality delivery artifact. The proposed architecture provides four levels of customization, ensuring a smooth transition from full adherence to the standard schema to its replacement with custom code. The Proof of Concept (PoC) verified the technological feasibility of the solution. The global BPM systems market is estimated at $21,51 billion in 2025, and Gartner predicts that by 2026, 75 % of new enterprise applications will be built on low-code platforms. The scientific novelty lies in moving the unit of functionality delivery from the data layer to the package layer. The practical significance lies in the potential for using a hybrid customization model in enterprise BPM ecosystems to reduce technical debt. Prospects for further research include implementing the proposed architecture in production across all MTS ecosystem products, developing a visual NPM package designer for low-code scenarios, and exploring the feasibility of using WebAssembly technology for high-performance custom components.

Keywords: form schema; NPM package; BPM forms; custom rendering; sandbox; shared access; CI/CD; technical debt; low-code; BPMN; hybrid customization; MTSForms

Morozkina Alexandra Alekseevna Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Moscow, Russia E-mail: morozkiiiina@gmail.com Muraveyko Alexander Yuryevich Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Moscow, Russia E-mail: aymuravejko@fa.ru Abstract.
