Currently, the Federal Customs Service is one of the largest organizations whose activities result in the formation of large amounts of waste. First of all, this is due to the specifics of the situation in which the customs bodies function, namely, the economic sanctions of the Russian Federation and foreign states. Under these conditions, the volume of goods seized and destroyed is rapidly growing, which, accordingly, leads to the formation of a large number of various wastes.

It is concluded that the current system of indicators of efficiency and effectiveness of the activities of customs authorities does not allow to fully assess the scale of the process of waste generation as a result of the implementation of the sanctions policy and counteracting the importation of prohibited goods into the country. The study of the information presented in the article demonstrates significant volumes and rates of growth in the destruction of seized goods, which leads to the emergence of an increasing amount of waste, and as a result, to a negative impact on the environment. In the absence of changes in the political sphere, it can be assumed that the volume of waste produced by customs authorities will increase rapidly. In order to control this process, it is first of all necessary to create an effective accounting system, for which it is necessary to improve the analytical activity in the customs authorities. This can only be achieved through the introduction of specific and comprehensive indicators in the activities of customs authorities, allowing to estimate the volume of waste generated. Such indicators were developed by the author and are given in this article.

Keywords: waste of customs authorities; the Federal Customs Service; the customs procedure for destruction; sanctions goods; goods banned for import; analytical activities in customs authorities; indicators of efficiency and effectiveness of customs authorities; economic sanctions

Kurihin Sergei Valerievich Russian customs academy, Lyubertsy, Russia E-mail: ksv1012@gmail.com Abstract.
