Analysis and forecasting of the main types of mineral resources The Central Federal Agency for Geological and Economic Monitoring

Abstract. In this article, the author constructed predictive models for the most popular types of mineral resources in the Central Federal District, calculated the volume of their growth and providing them with the needs of the national economy. In the calculations, the author used the method of correlation-regression analysis adapted to the specifics of the object of investigation. The calculation is made on iron ore, carbonate rocks for the chemical industry, flux limestone and refractory clay. Analyzing the most popular types of raw materials in the CFA conditions, the authors determined the tendency of decreasing resources. The reason is that, according to these types of minerals, the forecast potential, expressed in resources of categories P1, P2, P3, practically does not develop. After conducting geological survey work, prospecting and prospecting and evaluation work, it is necessary to conduct detailed reconnaissance to translate the forecast resources first into geological resources and then into the resources of industrial categories. These works should be carried out exclusively at the expense of subsoil users, potential investors, therefore it is necessary to carry out on-line geological and economic monitoring on the basis of the indicators discussed above to identify the need to carry out prospecting for those types of raw materials where the supply of resources is less than 25 years and perform work on the terms state-private partnership for the purpose of ensuring the reproduction of the mineral and raw materials base.
