Abstract. In the article the relation between the operation of sports facilities, and operation of a sports facility, a functional resource of sports facilities and the sports facility. The connection is traced from the language of terms to the application of the found possibilities of interconnection to the assessment of efficiency of use of the sports facility. In the proposed upgraded model adopted methods of calculation of efficiency of use of a sports facility to remedy the shortcomings of the original model. In the original model there is no possibility of accounting for the reasons for the changes in the magnitude of the effectiveness of a sports facility and not identified controls this value. Communication with the operating rules, technical and organizational content sports facilities corrects the deficiencies of the model. The use of the upgraded model will improve the efficiency of operation of a sports facility due to the long-term consumption of services produced organizational and technological systems, sports facilities and a sustainable demand
