Abstract. The article presents a silvicultural assessment of Norway spruce cultures created with planting material with a closed root system in the conditions of Birsk Forestry. The choice of the optimal technology for creating forest cultures of coniferous tree species for certain types of forest-growing conditions is an urgent task in forest restoration. The inventory of forest cultures was carried out according to the established silvicultural methods using measuring instruments that provide the necessary discreteness and accuracy in accordance with the current standards. A silvicultural and taxation assessment of common spruce forest cultures was conducted. The growth of the Norway spruce in terms of height, diameter, and volume of tables in forest cultures has been analyzed.

The growth of the diameter of the Norway spruce stem from 2022 to 2025 has been addressed. Studying the dynamics of trunk diameter growth is essential for analyzing the taxation structure of forest plantations.

The survival rate of spruce trees was examined by a year. This study shows that larger plants have a higher survival rate and grow more intensively in forest cultures. Hydrothermal factors, such as rainfall and soil temperature, play an important role in the regulation of plant physiological processes.
