Abstract. Co-management of traditional land-use of indigenous peoples is the cooperation of the local authorities, business and the population. The со-management facilitates the coordination of interests of local authorities, ethnic communities and business-structures. The co-management is used to develop the social environment and improve the environmental situation in areas where the activities of industrial companies and the indigenous land-use are combined. Establishing co-management, partnership of government, business and ethnic communities is a promising way to solve problems of territorial development and overcome poverty, reduce local conflicts in the areas of indigenous peoples. in co-management difficulties have a systemic character. They also depend on the regional characteristics of the communities. Co-management as a joint activity of indigenous peoples, authorities and business leads to the formation of a pluralistic environment and promotes the development of coordinated decisions. Foreign experience in co-management of resources and the development of indigenous peoples is useful for planning strategies of interaction between business, local authorities and local ethnic communities in Russia.
