Abstract. The authors of the review article presented a comprehensive analysis of the relationship between China’s agricultural and textile sectors in the context of the transition to a circular economy and zero-emission waste management. The relevance of the study is due to the critical role of China as the largest textile producer and the significant environmental footprint of the industry. The aim of the work is to identify the features of government regulation, institutional mechanisms, and production practices aimed at greening the value chain — from the cultivation of natural fibers to the processing of textile waste. The article examines in detail the structure and problems of Chinese agriculture, its integration with the textile industry, as well as the environmental challenges of traditional production models. The authors analyzed the institutional structure, including key legislative acts and strategic documents (laws on environmental protection and circular economy, five-year plans), as well as economic and information tools for the implementation of the «green policy». Special attention is paid to the analysis of textile fiber stocks, modern approaches to their processing (mechanical and chemical), and programs to support the circular economy, such as «Green Factories» and pilot projects in cities. In conclusion, it is concluded that despite significant progress in the formation of the institutional framework and successful examples of the implementation of circular principles, China is facing systemic challenges that require integrated solutions at all stages of the life cycle of textiles.
