Prevention of fraudulent activities when making purchases on the Internet

Abstract. In the article «Improving the Security of Financial Resources in the Conduct of Retail Transactions in the Internet», the market of electronic commerce in Russia and abroad was analyzed and the market characteristics were given in terms of growth rates; The main regulatory and legal sources regulating trading activity in the sale of goods by remote means are defined and the basic rules establishing relations between online stores and customers in the framework of B2B and B2C interaction schemes (that is, the buyer can act as a private person or any organization); Considered the most common mistakes buyers when ordering goods through online stores, as a result of which the buyer can lose not only the goods themselves, but also the money spent; Identified the main signs of identifying dangerous online stores, which must be paid special attention when searching for and buying goods remotely, as well as the actions of intruders, aimed at misleading consumers and obtaining money by fraud; For each feature given the necessary recommendations when making purchases that contribute to improving the security of financial and corporate resources of enterprises, as well as personal financial security and the development of financial literacy of the population.
