Abstract. The article develops formulations of three samples of solid shampoos based on plant macerate. The ingredient composition of the samples includes vegetable surfactants (sodium coco-sulfate and sodium cocoyl isethionate), thickener (cetyl stearyl alcohol), aqueous phase (herbal decoctions), oil phase (macerate in olive oil and milk thistle oil with a variation of vegetable components — burdock root or nettle leaves, or flowers and leaves chamomile), additives (essential oils, black clay, CO2 extracts, D-panthenol, vitamins A and E, keratin, lactic acid). The technology of manufacturing samples of solid shampoos includes seven stages: preparation of plant maceration, hydrolate, detergent base, finished products, product molding, etching and drying.
Studies of organoleptic (appearance, color, smell) and physico-chemical (hydrogen pH, foaming ability, mass fraction of chlorides) indicators of quality and safety of developed samples of solid shampoos based on plant macerate and a control sample of solid shampoo of the trademark «MeelaMeelo» showed that all developed samples meet the requirements, at the same time, the best values of the indicators are typical for samples of shampoos based on plant macerate (mainly burdock root and nettle leaves).
Field studies of the quality indicators of solid shampoos (washing (cleansing) ability (cleansing effect, surface tension), washability (efficiency of dirt dispersion, solid content), wetting time), mainly. consumer properties of the products have shown that samples of solid shampoos based on plant macerates have a better washing (cleansing) ability and washability compared to the control sample of the shampoo of the trademark «MeelaMeelo», however, in terms of wetting ability (wetting efficiency), the developed samples of solid shampoos are inferior to the control.
Studies of the antibacterial and antifungal activity of solid shampoos based on plant macerate have shown that the developed shampoo samples have a pronounced antimicrobial effect on test cultures of microorganisms (mold fungi, mesophilic aerobic and facultatively anaerobic microorganisms).
