Abstract. One of the problems of modern humanity is environmental pollution. Issues related to the disposal of production and consumption waste are of great importance in ensuring environmental safety not only of a separate region, but of the entire planet as a whole. More than half of the world’s plastic waste is household waste. These include PET bottles, disposable tableware, and other various packaging products purchased in stores. The problems of generating large amounts of waste and the poorly established system of their separate collection make us look for new approaches and methods to solve them. The relevance of the research topic and the degree of its scientific development provide grounds for formulating the scientific problem as the need to develop and implement a new format of eco-shops «No packaging — zero waste». The methodological basis of the study was the theoretical and methodological analysis, analysis of statistical data, documents and literature on the topic under study. The work used the graphical method, thanks to which it was possible to present the schemes of turnover of basic goods, cosmetics and household chemicals, as well as the counter of an eco-shop, and the economic method, which is an important tool for assessing the feasibility and effectiveness of the project to develop eco-shops «No packaging — zero waste». The authors have provided a theoretical justification for the waste disposal process using the new eco-shop format «No packaging — zero waste», and have assessed the possibility of developing and implementing this store format into the retail infrastructure and everyday life of a person. The authors have also provided an economic justification for the eco-shop project «No packaging — zero waste».
