Abstract. In modern economic conditions, the importance of issues in the field of human rights is growing at a high speed. In business practice, it is not uncommon for negative situations to occur that indicate a violation of human rights by business or adverse impacts on human rights. The authors of the article study this problem in the context of labor relations between an employee and an employer. Such violations are understood as facts when the commercial activity of the company deprives a person of the opportunity or does not allow a person to fully exercise their legal rights. The legal framework for human rights covers international, regional and local sections. The authors focus on the fact that today hotel companies already include data on the results of their activities in their corporate reporting, recognizing these facts and guaranteeing the implementation of measures to reduce such cases. The authors conclude that in their activities and in building relationships at all levels with all interested parties, each Russian company is obliged to observe due diligence. This work is related to the identification of the actual and potential negative social, environmental and economic impacts of decisions developed by management and approved by the owner in the activities of the organization in order to avoid and minimize the consequences of such a negative impact in terms of the risks of human rights violations. Otherwise, negative consequences of different levels and severity are possible in various areas of the company’s activities: from direct financial losses to loss of reputation.
